After Koudougou in 2013, the statutory members of the Basin Water Agency Committee Mouhoun (AEM) were in Bobo-Dioulasso Wednesday 6th May 2015. The aim was to hold both a catch-up session the missed session of 2014 (the popular uprising being been there) and a session within the scope of activities for the year 2015. The Bobo meeting started in the presence of 40 of the 45 members. After quorum by Mr. Ghislain KABORE Anselme, Director General of the Water Agency Mouhoun, the participants adopted the work program which consisted of the Minutes of the examination of the last session, the balance sheet presentation 2014 activities, the presentation of program activities in 2015 and finally the adoption of various proceedings governing the functioning of the Board, and Basin Management Committee.

Under the leadership of Mr. Alphonse Bonou, President Basin Committee (CB), EAJ actors also discussed in various, on specific activities since the last session.

In summary, the work has to retain the following facts. The main achievement of 2014 was the development and adoption of the SDAGE in July 2014. Funded by the MCA, the Master Plan for Land and Water Management (SDAGE) is a policy document orientation, for the strategic planning of water use. It is an essential tool that guides public development programs, and defined the rules of consistency to regulate the mobilization and water resource management across the basin.

Other major achievements of 2014 are:
(1) The installation of the first pilot service Police Water by DGRE in collaboration with the EMEA in the Kou valley
(2) The grant of Local Committees for Water AEM which helped protect 21 km of shoreline Mouhoun,
(3) The implementation of a water Emergences Inventory (water sources),
(4) Construction of the Agency Headquarters
(5) the rehabilitation of the park Cyanide Poura ..

For 2015, acticités will focus on (1) The implementation of the SDAGE through the development of multi annual Intervention Program, (2) development of a strategy for collecting CFE ( 3) The development of priority SAGE Sourou-Samendeni complex (4) Identification of the secondary network for monitoring water resources, (5) the CTGS General Assembly (Frame Border of Sourou Water Management) … ..

Note that the session of the Basin Committee was preceded by the meeting of the Board of Directors which allowed to review and amend the reports submitted to the Basin Committee. The Chairman of the Board, Mr. Dofinihouyan Ye, said he was satisfied with the current structure of the Water Agency Mouhoun. For him, the Water Agency Mouhoun is on the right path.
